Emerald and the Austrian Academic Library Consortium (KEMÖ) have renewed their agreement for another three years from January 2023 to December 2025, enabling corresponding authors affiliated with the institutions listed below to publish Open Access with Emerald at no additional charge.

Who is eligible?
Authors affiliated with a participating member institution in the role of 'corresponding author' of the article. Emerald identifies eligible authors at least through one of the following parameters as part of the submission workflow: institutional email address, ORCID, affiliation, and institutional IP range.
Which article types are eligible?
Any original research articles are eligible.
What license options are available?
The default license option is CC BY 4.0; other open licenses may be available as agreed with the publisher.
When do authors have to be affiliated with a participating member institution to be eligible for funding?
Authors must be affiliated with a participating member institution on the acceptance date.
What costs are covered by the agreement?
Article Processing Charges (APCs) are fully covered by the agreement; no additional charges for authors incurred.
