The American Chemical Society (ACS) and the Austrian Academic Library Consortium have concluded a Read and Publish agreement for the period from January 2024 to December 2026, enabling corresponding authors affiliated with the institutions listed below to publish Open Access with ACS at no additional charge.

Who is eligible?
Authors affiliated with a participating member institution in the role of 'corresponding author' of the article. ACS identifies eligible authors by means of their affiliation and institutional email address as part of the submission workflow.
Which article types are eligible?
All article types except additions, corrections, and editorials are eligible.
What license options are available?
Articles are published under a CC BY license only.
When do authors have to be affiliated with a participating member institution to be eligible for funding?
Authors must be affiliated with a participating member institution on the submission date, and the article must be accepted for publication during the agreement.
What costs are covered by the agreement?
Article Processing Charges (APCs) are fully covered by the agreement; no additional charges for authors incurred.
