The American Physical Society (APS) and the Austrian Academic Library Consortium (KEMÖ) have concluded their first Read and Publish agreement for the period from 2025 to 2027, enabling corresponding authors affiliated with the institutions listed below to publish Open Access in the publisher's hybrid journals at no additional charge.

What journals are covered by this agreement?

Who is eligible?
Authors affiliated with a paricipating mamber institution in the role of 'corresponding author' of the article. APS identifies eligible authors through at least one of the following parameters: the indication of their affiliation during the submission process, indication in the manustricpt, the institutional Ip range, the institutional e-mail domain and/or through persistent identifiers like ROR-ID, Ringgold or ORCID.

Which article types are eligible?
All article types that can be classified as "Primatery research Martiral", including but not limited to: Regular Articles, Letters, Rapid Communications, Reviews, Perspectives, Short Papers

What license options are available?
Articles are published under a CC BY license only.

When do authors have to be affiliated with a participating member institution to be eligible for funding?
Authors must be affiliated with a participating member institution on the acceptance date.

What costs are covered by the agreement?
Article Processing Charges (APCs) are fully covered by the agreement; no additional charges for authors incurred.
